Roots — Who I Am
A soft beginning
From an early age, I carried a quiet sensitivity within me a gentle force that guided me long before I knew how to listen. For years I moved through life balancing expectations, holding space where it was needed, while a deeper pulse inside whispered a different truth: a longing to come home to myself.
In the pause between who I was and who I was meant to become, I turned inward. My body began to speak. My breath became my compass.
Movement through yoga, dance and sound brought me back into flow — not only physically, but energetically. They anchored me in softness, rhythm, remembrance.
My path was not always light.
But every step led me closer to my essence — clear, rooted and present.
Today, I guide others from that place of inner homecoming with tenderness, body awareness and deep attunement to soul and the natural cycles of life. My work brings harmony where duality lives:
between mind and heart, stillness and movement, the individual and the Greater Whole.
Through sound, ritual, breath, dance and touch,
I invite you to return home.
To your body.
To your truth.
To the Life that breathes through you.
"Sometimes life forces you to change the course and make you feel lost for a while. But in the end it might lead you home.” ~Jonna Jinton~
Remembrance — My Path of Healing & Wisdom
The long remembering
I was born on June 11, 1963 a day marked by a powerful spiritual shift that rippled through the world, a shockwave felt even in the highest circles of power. It was an awakening that continues to echo within me to this day. In the sacred in-between space of June 11, 1963 — the state known in ancient Tibetan Buddhist traditions as Bardo, where one life dissolves and the next has not yet formed — my soul was called to remember.
A sacred offering awakened within me a remembrance of His Silence, of the calm strength that heals without words, and of His Compassion for the World. In the Unburnt Heart, kept as a relic, I recognized my own path: to heal in Silence, to carry in Presence, to live from the indestructible light of the heart.
From this inner source, I received my spiritual name: Varan Dayal Kaur an embodiment of strength in softness, a woman who lives from compassion and inner wisdom. This name reflects my soul’s mission: to be a gentle, holding presence for those seeking healing, connection, and soul remembrance.
I have anchored this path of service and embodiment into the Earth through my training and experience in Hatha, Yin and Kundalini Yoga, Spiritual Psychology, Shamanism, and the mysticism of the feminine body. To me, movement, breath, and dance are not techniques, but sacred rituals through which I honour the raw beauty of life and allow my true essence to unfold, again and again.
As a soul guide and healing channel, I invite others to follow their natural flow, to open to their intuition and to fall in love with the full spectrum of being human. My work is a homecoming to the body, a remembrance of who you truly are alive, free, and connected to the timeless wisdom of your soul. We all carry a deep longing for freedom to be ourselves and to live our most authentic life.
My journey has been carried by many teachers, traditions, and initiations. In full reverence, devotion and gratitude to my Teachers, click here for an overview of my background and sources of inspiration.
Return ~ Shield of Moon & Soul
Throughout the centuries, spirituality has played an important role in my family line.
Sometimes visible in symbols such as this coat of arms, sometimes hidden in stories and choices made by generations. In the ancient shield, three red moons shine — an inheritance from my ancestors, a gateway to the soul line from which I come, referred to in heraldry as waxing red moons. They remind me of the power of cycles: growth, transformation, and the eternal rhythm of beginning and completion.
The waxing moon speaks of renewal and transition. In her I recognize the path of my rituals: the bardo, the journey from soul to soul, the mystery of womanhood. The three moons mirror the Triple Goddess — Maiden, Mother, and Wise Woman — whom I embody in my body and my work. They connect my path in Feminine Yin Yoga, MoonRise Ritual Dance, and the writing of my book of rituals with the ancient mystique of the feminine.
As in heraldry a coat of arms once offered protection, so this shield has become for me an energetic seal. It carries the vibration of my lineage and protects me in my work with souls. This deeply rooted spiritual current now flows through me, in the rituals I create and the souls I accompany. Thus this shield remains a living symbol, affirming past, present, and future within me. It guards my work with souls. It holds my lineage.
It reminds me:
✦ I come from cycles
✦ I return to cycles
✦ I am a cycle
This is not where my story ends — this is where it returns.
