Heart to Heart Soul to Soul

Reiki

Dr. Mikao Usui

Dr. Usui is the founder of Reiki. He was a spiritual man and received the symbols through inspiration by fasting & meditations on the mountaintop Kurama.
This is a traditional Native American way or Shamanic way of finding one’s Self and bringing that gift into the World.

Learning to see is really learning to see what is real and essentially shamanic. In dr. Usui’s words the mind and heart blended as one.
In Japanese the character Rei means mystery, gift, holy, nature spirit or invisible spirit. Ki means life-force energy, so Reiki means guided life-force energy or healing energy that has his wisdom guided by the Spirit ( God, the Universe, Buddha, Krishna, The Great Spirit).
Life-force energy is all around us, available to everyone, every flowing. It is utterly abundant and only limited by one’s ability to consciously use it.

Every human has the natural ability to heal self and others, but it must be “ turned on” for it is locked with the DNA.

The symbol for Reiki can be split into several parts with:

The Bottom: the wavy lines that represent Ki or life energy, like the fog

The top: the shape of the umbrella and the horizontal lines fall like the rain

The middle: three box shapes are the mouths of people who are turned over and open in awe, like the fog

In the middle: the T-shape with the two inverted V's

Together, the symbols say:

Shaman Who Makes Rain

Just for today

I will not be angry

I will not worry

I will do my work honestly

I will be grateful for my many blessings

I will be kind to all beings

Reiki Symbols

Cho Ku Rei

Connect the energy in unity

Connect the chi and the soul

put the energy here

The energy is here

With this power symbol you can increase or decrease the energy with the hands. Intuitively you use only the right hand or left hand or both at the same time.
The left hand is in contact with the Yin aspect, the feminine and cosmic. The right hand represents the Yang aspect, masculine and earthy.
When making Cho Ku Rei, the energy is intensified into a whirlwind and passed on to the person to be received. With the hands the energy can be sent upwards, the spiritual. Or make the move down, the grounding.
The Power of Cho ku rei comes in different forms. Cho ku rei can be used as a catalyst for physical healing, cleansing or purification. It can also be used to draw attention (focus) to something.
Cho ku rei is a wonderful remedy for healing.

Sei He Ki

I am the bow
the arrow
and the goal

Sei he ki symbolizes harmony. It is a means of giving healing to it emotional area and breaks blockages regarding peace, harmony and balance. This intention can also be used during treatment for addiction or depression to restore the spiritual balance of the body. Or to help people recover from past physical or emotional trauma or to unblock negative energies.
In combination with the Cho Ku Rei symbol, spaces can be cleaned energetically.

Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen

No past, present or future
The Buddha in me reaches out to the Buddha in you to promote enlightenment and peace you are limitless and
unlimited

The symbol Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen is used in transmitting qi over long distances. The connection is the Bridge between humans and animals in all dimensions of time and space. It actually means no past, no present, no future and transcends time and place.
The symbol is made up of five different Chinese characters and is sometimes referred to as a pagoda because of the tower-like appearance of the characters when written out.
The timelessness also allows Hon sha ze shon nen to transform itself into a key that will unlock the Akashic Records, which some practitioners believe is a source of all human consciousness. All thoughts and feelings from past lives are stored in the Universe in the Akashic Records. So for the Reiki practitioner it is an essential tool to be able to give Karmic treatments, work on clients inner child or past life issues.

Dai Ko Myo

Enlightenment, inner knowledge and truth

The Master symbol (photo left traditional, photo right new symbol) most closely resembles a coiled snake. Dai Ko Myo establishes the connection between the Reiki Master and the Universe. And stands for everything Reiki is.
It is the symbol that heals the healers by combining the power of the symbols of harmony, strength and distance.
Dai Ko Myo opens the crown chakra and makes you an open channel for universal energy. With this symbol, the Reiki Master can also work on a soul level, it requires a lot of energy control and is therefore not suitable for use in every treatment.

Raku

The completion symbol is the final stage of the Reiki attunement process. If one wants to become a Reiki Master this is the last sign one will learn. The purpose of this sign is that the client will ground as the treatment comes to an end

Therapy

The Reiki treatment takes place in a relaxed and soothing atmosphere of the Zenhuys.

A Reiki treatment takes 60 minutes and I advise you to wear comfortable clothing so that you can lie or sit comfortably. Before and after the session there is room for a conversation to find out where the need lies and to evaluate. For the rest you don't have to do anything, except to be open to this beautiful magical experience.
